New competition for digital innovation funding

14 March 2017, Sophia Woodley

Do you have an innovative digital project in need of funding?

Innovate UK, in the second round of its ‘Emerging and Enabling Technologies’ competition, is targeting some of the most cutting-edge themes in digital, including ‘big data’ and virtual or augmented reality.

It is also specifically targeting the creative economy, with funding available for:

  • “enabling higher-quality, faster and more cost-effective creation, manipulation and/or consumption of ‘real time’ creative content”
  • “creating richer and more engaging user experiences on new innovative platforms, such as virtual reality”

While competition for Innovate UK funding can be stiff, the rewards are large. Many of the organisations Golant Media Ventures has helped to apply have found that just going through the application process has brought them a new clarity around their future plans, their market, and their path to success. To say nothing of the benefits of winning funds, discovering new partners and taking their ideas forward...

Innovate UK is offering funding for projects between £35,000 and £2 million in size. Every project must include an SME (small or medium enterprise), and all projects over £100,000 must have two or more project partners.

The registration deadline is 3 May. If you want to learn more you can watch the briefing webinar or read the guidance from Innovate UK.

Could you use some help navigating the application process?

Just drop us an email. We’d be happy to have a chat about this competition, as well as the wider funding landscape...
