Business model template for filmed performance public consultation launched

23 October 2014, Patrick Towell

We have now launched the final versions of the templates. Please see here for further details.

Golant Media Ventures has created a business model template for filmed performance for cultural and arts organisations. It is shared under a Creative Commons licence for the sector as a whole to use.

The template is intended to help cultural and arts organisations plan and structure the way they finance, produce and distribute filmed media versions of performance. Its intention is to enable a new group of organisations to enter into this market – to use film to create new cultural and artistic expressions, to reach new audiences and to contribute to their financial sustainability.

The version published below is a draft for comment. Please give us your feedback here or via email by 12 December 2014.

The business model template consists of:
• A business model canvas
• An accounting template
• Guidance notes
All are downloadable below.

The business model template was produced as part of the Live & Digital project led by Miracle Theatre in collaboration with the University of Falmouth, Dogbite and Cinegi.

It was supported by the Digital R&D Fund for the Arts - Nesta, Arts & Humanities Research Council and public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
